Resolutional

Well here we sit on January 8, 2009. One week since the beginning of the new year. I am not sure how many of you out there in the blogosphere actually set New Year resolutions, but i wonder a week into the year, how many are still in place.
Another thing about resolutions, they generally tend to be ME focused. How can/What can I do to make ME better or more important? What can i do to help MYself?
Have you ever thought about God's perspective?
Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and we should take care of it, but what about others?
What resolutions were set this year with others in mind? Regardless of what it cost us?

I had the privilege of hearing the song "Let it Go" by Tenth Avenue North over Christmas and it hit home. The following is an excerpt:

"I've been holding on so tight,
look at these knuckles they've gone white
I'm fighting for who i want to be,
I'm just trying to find security.

But You said let it go, You said let it go,
You said life is waiting for the ones who lose control
You said You will be everything I need
You said if i lose my life it's then I'll find my soul
You said let it go.

Well it's hard enough to hear,
harder still to move beyond this fear
We know there is nothing i can bring,
So tell me, what do You want from me?

You said let it go....

But how many of us "let it go"? How many of us hold on. How many of us are more worried about the economy, and our jobs than doing and being who God wants us to be? Where is faith in fear? Where is the peace in turmoil?
God is waiting for us...
Let's have the resolve to move in Christ.
Today, Tomorrow and Forever!

Peace and Love
B
